Anni Gibson
Managing Director
As a valued member of the Client Solutions team at Re:Co, Anni brings more than nine years of experience underwriting, advising on, and structuring sponsor-backed transactions. Her work focuses on identifying where sustainability is financially material and translating it into practical levers for investment performance, including cash flow durability, margin resilience, cost efficiency, downside protection, and exit readiness.
Prior to joining Re:Co, Anni spent three years in Direct Lending at Investec, where she worked on more than £1 billion of sponsor-backed investments across the UK and European lower-mid and mid-market. Her role included embedding ESG considerations into underwriting, transaction structuring, and portfolio engagement, including in complex situations and restructurings. Before this, she spent four years in Deloitte’s Debt & Capital Advisory team, advising private equity sponsors on more than 25 financings, including buyouts, refinancings, and dividend recapitalisations.
Anni is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying with ICAS in 2018 after beginning her career in Deloitte’s private markets audit practice. She also holds an MSc in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, graduating with High Distinction and a 4.2 GPA. As an Earth Institute Sustainability Fellow, her studies focused on ESG integration, sustainable finance, climate risk, and sustainability-led value creation within private markets.
Anni is particularly interested in sustainability as a commercial and strategic lever—one that can strengthen investment theses, inform underwriting decisions, and create measurable value at both fund and portfolio company level. She also writes regularly about ESG in private markets, with a particular focus on private credit and private equity value creation.
